Brief
HomeNet International, a global network representing home based workers across 30 countries, reached out to us with a requirement to develop a brand film that communicated the importance policy makers and government to ratify of ILO C177, a policy that ensures social rights such as equal treatment, safe working conditions, fair pay, maternity protection, etc. to home-based workers around the globe.
Ideation
The task was to create a narrative that suited the sensibilities of this vision and cause–social protection of home-based worker communities, while ideating a visual style that was simplistic, friendly, and communicative to all target demographics.
And so, we devised an explainer kind of film that amplified the origin, cause, and the mission of HomeNet International. And for style, we chose a minimalistic line-art based 2D animation that effectively conveys the information in a formal and overall professional tone.
Production
One of the major challenges came to us in production when designing character avatar for this project. Considering the client’s demographic, accurate representation and inclusivity in characters of the home-based workers , was a key element to the nature of film. So our character artworks were developed through deep research and detailing so it could well represent the choice of clothes, color, and culture they live in.

Outcome
The final output was a film that both stood out to be visually captivating but also as a strong narrative explainer that effectively communicated the brand message. The clients were happy viewing the quality and delivery of the film.
