Challenge
DDB Mudra Ahmedabad, came to use with two film requirements. A brand film and a brand manifesto film. The brand was going through a revamp with the agency doing some lovely design for their identity. We came in picture when they decided to take animation root to talk about this renewed identity and the why behind the change! And all this was to be communicated in ‘dots’ and ‘dashes’!
Ideation
To achieve the right “dots and dashes” treatment we turned to an abstract route.This was confirmed once we received the script, we started prepping by ideating how we could use the elements of dots and dashes, mostly by giving them life. The prospect of creating an abstract story and visual flow really got us excited.
Production
The production aimed at bringing the dot to life to represent the viewer’s journey with Ishaan Technologies. We decided to explore the narrative, which was to be the base for our actions. There was a conscious effort to show the struggles and achievement of the dot. During the animation, we kept taking reference of the physics of a ball and how it reacts to real life events. This turned out to be a great guide.
Outcome
The film was well received by the clients.
