When Datashrubs launched their new sister company, D.S Prods, they approached us for a film. They wanted to highlight the new services that was provided by their company. They wanted position this new venture as a young, energetic solution driven body that was here to revolutionise their customers lives through their services.
We decided that their attitude of young and energtic should be maintianed throughout the film, and the idea was to bring the entity “D.S Prods” to life. This would be done through the script, that spoke directly to the audience.
The treatment was also very copy heavy, with fast transitions and an upbeat track that kept the audience hooked onto them.
Now that we had the script with us, it directed the visuals too. We quickly figured out what the framing of each super would be and how they would transition.The way the letters appears, interacted with each other and transitions were directed based on the emotion that the words carried. To add dynamism into the film we decided to break the monotony of words with shots of the app on a phone screen and icons. It gave the audience a view into what the features of the app are too.
We also played with colour gradients, adding subtle fluidity to each frame behind just to set a mood.
The client was very happy with the film and unique treatment we brought to the table. With a clear message coming out in a direct yet aesthetic way, their new brand DS Prods took on a life of it’s own.
